On Avengers Eve, when I romp around with my eyepatch on and my friends at my side, I have a bit of a plan in mind.
When people ask me how Nick Fury can be a white girl, I’m gonna tell them that it’s because Fury is a bamf who can be anyone. It’s how he went from David Hasselhoff to Samuel L. Jackson, and it’s how I’ll be able to enjoy a wonderful night with people I love.
Whether it’s a crass, middle aged white guy from Hell’s Kitchen or a black gentleman who has had it with these motherfucking snakes, this guy rocks. And everyone who’s been brought to my life or that I’ve become closer with because of superheroes and dressing like them rocks, too.
I’m floored with excitement for May 4th, for both the great movie it’ll be and for the great memories I’ll have because of everyone I see it with. The people I’ve come to know from the nerd and convention-going community here really are my heroes, and people I’ve had a lot of fun with and learned a lot from. I believe in you guys. <3
